WATCH FEEDER AT THE TSUNAMI GIG!

Feeder played a fantastic performance at the Tsunami gig at the Millennium stadium in Cardiff. They started off with the classic Buck Rogers followed by Just The Way I'm Feeling, new single Tumble and Fall and finished off with Just A Day. Feederweb caught up with Grant to ask how he thought it went and this is what he said:

"Fantastic! We had a great response and were very pleased to be part of it. Thanks to all the fans who bought tickets and made it a really great day and it raised over a million pounds. It was brilliant. With it being on TV, we did not want to let people down but we got the crowd going and it was a great day. It did go down exceptionally well, we were very high on the bill – we were on after the Manics. I thought God it’s gonna be tough especially after a whole lot of good bands before. Some people start to get tired by that time but we had a fantastic response."

GRANT AND THE BLOCKHEADS

As a tribute to the late Ian Drury and his music, an album of his songs have been covered by luminaries such as sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and Grant himself, performing a new version of "Blockheads". "They wanted someone who could really belt it out" he said. With Feeder's rocky sound and his edgy voice, the match was perfect. Blockheads is quintessential Ian Dury, who indelibly left his mark on British music with his unique, quirky and often very funny lyrics exuding a punk attitude without actually being 'punk music' itself. "It's very hard to sum up Ian Dury", Grant confesses, and therein perhaps lies his genius. Listen to the track in the Feeder Central area...
