Apart from the recording the album I've been riding my dirtbikes.
I rode across South Africa and down through India. I also followed some of the Dakar rally route through Morocco. Training in mid-Wales at the Yamaha Off road School once a month. Keeping fit is so boring in the gym and enduro is really hard work. My last race is next weekend 11th near Dorchester with Track n Trail, after that I can't risk it. See you all on tour very soon xx
INSPIRED BY…GRANT AND FEEDER

Between writing and recording the new Feeder album, Grant has been putting his production prowess to great effect with Grimsby quartet The Brightlights. Their new single “Inspired By” is a fantastic departure for Grant. The band are all lifelong fans of Feeder and were winners of this years Road to V. Zane Lowe loves it, Steve Lamacq adores it, and Q have dedicated an up and coming piece to them in this months Q Awards edition. The Times are tipping them for massive things, and Mr. Nicholas has pushed all the right buttons again.

Remember Brian Sperber (he produced Two Colours, Feeder's first single). Not only one of Grant's close friends but also his production partner on the debut album from the Basingstoke quartet Enjoy Destroy. The Hampshire teenagers have also been troubling Zane Lowe and recently won Fresh Meat and have recently been out on the road with Reuben and Elliot Minor, and winning the hearts and minds and up and coming pieces in Kerrang and Rocksound. Their debut album is out now and is called Little Dreams.

On November 18th this year Mark will embark on an (two week) epic adventure. A 2500km motorbike trip around South Africa. They need to average about
220 km per day (roughly London to Leeds, off road) to stay on schedule so it is going to be pretty grueling..
There are 100 riders doing this with the aim of donating the fundraising and the Yamaha, AG 200s to Riders For Health at the end. The charity was set up by 500cc World Motorcycle Champion Randy Mamola and Andrea and Barry Coleman, 15 years ago, to aid and train outreach
health workers in Africa. This really is important work! There is no point in providing medicines if they cannot be distributed to the people who need them. This is the gap which Riders is bridging. For more information on the charity please visit www.riders.org.

FIRST FULL ELECTRIC LIVE INSTORE SINCE 2001 & BUCK ROGERS

FEEDER will play a full electric set at HMV, Oxford Street, London at 6pm on Wednesday 3rd May. This is the first full electric live instore the band have played since the legendary Tower Records, Piccadilly Instore of January 2001 to accompany the release of Buck Rogers. Crowd surfing from the racks and a classic performance. This was followed by a semi acoustic instore at HMV in 2003 in support of Just the Way I'm Feeling. This was the biggest instore in HMV's history, with over 1500 people at the store.
Such is the anticipated demand to meet the band that the signing session only will be restricted to fans with wristbands. These will be issued on a 'first come first served' basis - one wristband per person from the store opening on the day of the event. The store opens at 9am on Wednesday 3rd May and the band will take to the stage at 6pm prompt for a high octane 30 minute set.
The live event itself will obviously be open fully to all.

Welcome back to the New Year – which promises to be a busy one. Grant’s voice is well on the mend and the boys are currently in the studio working on new material for the Singles Album and new studio album. The new material is sounding quite amazing.

War Child auctions a US Army helmet that has been painted by Grant in order to raise money for the Charities amazing work. Other artists have also painted/adorned helmets. Grant says “The idea behind the helmet I designed was a collection of some of the events, images and thoughts that one way or another affect everyone and will continue to affect us in the future such as terrorism and carbon emissions. There are several different references so hopefully every time you look at it you see something new. I wanted to create a design that makes people think about key issues and how they affect people. This supports the work of War Child who concentrates on helping children affected by circumstances they have no control over. We’ve been involved with warchild in the past and are always keen to support their fantastic work.”
The inspiration was derived from the film Jarhead and the charity. This one of a kind helmet is the only one in existence, and as you can see, it’s worth every penny!
A verification certificate from the film company will accompany the helmet to ensure to you that this is in fact a genuine auction.

Official Feeder Statement:
Contrary to inaccurate reports in the press and on the radio, Feeder are not recording their last album, nor set to split. An over-enthusiastic reporter seems to have put 2 and 2 together and come up with 43. Indeed the group are looking forward to the release of new single ‘Shatter’/’Tender’ in October and a Far East and UK tour in November. They have already started writing new material for a Singles Album to be released in the New Year and a further studio album to follow the current album “Pushing the Senses”.

ON THE NIGHTWATCH WITH FEEDER

Feeder are off to Russia next week! The band will be in Moscow to attend the "nightwatch" event which will include interviews with Radio 1, Loaded and Rolling Stone Australia. The band will also take to the streets of Moscow for a guided tour which will be filmed for MTV's "Special Treats" followed by a club event performance in the evening.More news to come....

Feeder are headlining the 'Live On The Lawn' Music Festival at the Historic Crathes Castle in Aberdeen, Scotland. This is the sixth such event and takes place on Friday 26th August (Bank Holiday Weekend).
The Castle is famed for it's gardens and grounds, providing a beautiful setting for this event.The rolling lawns, and stunning backdrop of the Castle makes this an intimate natural arena second to none.
FEEDER follow the footsteps of VAN MORRISON, JAMES BROWN, BRYAN FERRY and PAUL WELLER who have all played in previous years.

Somewhere around the world a child dies as a direct result of conflict every 3 minutes. Makes you think: that’s the length of the current Feeder single ‘Pushing The Senses’.
Feeder collaborate for the second time with the charity War Child with a cover of the REM classic "Everybody Hurts".War Child publishes a report "your war is not with me" on 4th June 2005. This report amplifies the concerns, worries, fears but also hopes of children in Iraq, Afghanistan and Bosnia * three countries that have sited barbaric conflicts over the last fifteen years. Feeder's cover version of REM's 'Everybody Hurts' exclusively recorded for War Child makes for a beautiful soundtrack to this report.

FEEDER SPANISH DATES ANNOUNCEMENT

Feeder are extremely sorry to announce that all the Spanish shows, including the thee special guest appearances with REM in Spain and the two sold out Feeder headline shows in Madrid & Barcelona are for reasons outside the band’s control being cancelled. The REM shows themselves are NOT affected by this. Feeder are hoping to be back in Spain later in the year. Any tickets purchased for the two headline dates will be reimbursed at the point of sale.

Tickets are on sale now priced at weekend with camping £90, weekend non camping £75, day ticket £35 (subject to booking fee, children under 12 go 1/2 price).
